Fusion - Day 2

Wow,  so many glitches! We had glitches in the visuals, the easyworship operator had some issues with buttons. I am going to watch how she navigates today, see if I can help her get around a little easier. Even though its just pushing buttons, it can be stressful, especially when all your edits go out the window with just one little crash. Sound had issues as well. The front rows still having trouble getting a good room mix. Not really an issue until all of your guest speakers and friends are on the front row. Then its and issue. Funny how the Lord will reveal gaps in our ministry in the strangest of times and places. It is an humbling experience when He does these things while we entertain those we look admire in some way. So awesome that He loves us so much, that He would take that time to teach us. This is the result of us crying, "More Love, More Power, More of You in My Life!" The life of service offers suffering, humility and weariness. That is why so many would rath...

Wow - forever since I posted!

Been spending so much time fighting with my own body, and ministry, and family - I havent gotten on here and shared. I will be presenting a workshop at Calvary Houston, Your Church Online - a review of applications and technology to help get you online and going. Using free and or cheap resources. And yes, almost all on the Mac :) If you want to attend, you can register online at www.fusioncon.com

Canon XL2

Canon XL2 - we bought it over 2 years ago, and now we are getting a loud hiss on the earphones, and on tape when we record. We use external wireless sennheisers for mic's and still get the noise. We would be honored if anyone knew how me might fix that, mix that, or do we need to get this thing repaired?

Kewlio for Vimeo

So, you can now RSS and iPhone compatible. All thats left is iTunes compatible, and we are set! LTL VIDEO CHANNEL

BLIP IN YOUR FACE!

EDIT!! Neat biz, looks like Vimeo.com now supports mobile video! You can go into your vimeo videos and check the Alternate Versions under the Video File tab under settings, and all of your vids will be made into a mobile (read iPhone :) compatible file as well. Gonna go cruise Vimeo on me iPhone and see if the embed players pop up with the mobile version! If this works with play-lists or albums in the embedded player, Vimeo just became the champ! Ok little bit of a rant here, you know working with church media we are always trying to find inexpensive ways to get video streaming and archived to folks. A two services we have tried are Vimeo.com and Blip.tv. Both are good. Blip has very good stream, little artifacting, and such. Vimeo, the same. Though the stream seems to come a bit quicker via blip. Blip also offers auto update of xml for podcasting (through their service) and iphone compatible player through their site. Which all seems great. But wait. It isn't completely. Trial...

Vision Sunday

We just had vision Sunday at Calvary. Was awesome. We discussed much of what was going to happen this year, and I am just excited about it! Will be talking with the iPhone app developer and working on getting our archives up and going well! The archives will actually feed the app. So we'll have media available online, on phone, and some even via text.
